* * *

In the side of the far from native land
I dream about the quiet villages,
In the field at the road is a white birch,
Winter and arable land - and April day.
Gently the morning sky turns blue,
Light white swell clouds swim,
It is important to row for plow on arable land,
Steam glitters over arable land ... And around sing
Larks in clear air height
And on the ground from the sky ringing trills pour.

In the side of the far from native land
The girl-bride dreams me Spring:
Blue eyes, little face,
Slender stature tall, fair-haired braid.
It is cheerful for her in the field in a warm, clear morning!
Mil of her native land is a steppe and silence,
Mil her poor north, peaceful peasant labor,
And with greetings she looks at the fields:
A smile on her lips, and a thought in her eyes -
Youth and happiness the first spring!
